Our commitment to financial confidence

We believe financial confidence starts early.  We provide practical financial education in local Worcestershire schools; the kind of simple, jargon-free workshops that build literacy from a young age to help them establish healthy financial habits from the outset. Through programs like Redstart, Money Matters, and Money Ready, we have facilitated over 400 direct interactions with pupils, particularly within the Bordesley Multi Academy Trust, in an area known for economic deprivation.

It’s part of our continued commitment to supporting everyone in building financial confidence.

Our work with the POWER UP! Mentor Foundation Charity in Worcestershire is also a direct extension of our life-led philosophy. This fantastic mentoring scheme supports young people in local schools and colleges to increase their self-belief, aspirations, and resilience. The goal is to show students the skills needed for the world of work, boost their confidence, and help them make the best decisions about their post-16 pathways.

We are proud to support this initiative because the habits children build now are the foundation of a confident financial future.

Our founder, Darren Houlcroft, is the Co-founder of the Foundation and actively mentors within the programme.

Darren's role and the Power Up! initiative are separate and distinct to Houlcroft Partners and St. James's Place.
